... because she had a drawl that was barely understandable. No dear, that's how they talk here. I had chicken fried steak and okra. Surprisingly, Bud had never tasted okra and didn't know what kudzu was. I snapped a picture of the $2.99 gallon of gas. Why is gas so expensive in the north?? We drove down route 66 past the outlets and shops and dinner theaters and tourist traps to the Walmart in Seviereville. It was a great day!

Well it's the first day being temporarily unemployed. Feels weird knowing I won't be going back to the hospital to work. Got a lot accomplished. My passport arrived finally. We got the hitch installed and the trailer reserved. We got to spend the morning with sweet friends and their 12 horses and numerous cats. Had a blast feeding carrots and apples to the horses. I'm sure going to miss these wonderful ...

... and rolling hills and what did we see but those Smokie Mountains up ahead. I had never been in this area so we thought we would pass thru and visit Floyd Garrett's Car Museum. There wasn't much choice in campgrounds and thought it couldn't be too bad because they had a web site but I was wrong. Although this was on a small lake there were a lot of permanents that didn't take good care of their trailers but it was quiet.
