Hello everyone,

As I sit in my room, back at my parents house in the U.S., I can't help but think that time is running out to pack. I continue to procrastinate because packing is one of my least favorite tasks. If only I could hire a professional packer who would pack exactly what I'll be needing, nothing more, nothing less, I'd have it made!

I'll be leaving 9 days from today. I'm flying out of Louisville, KY and arrive in Santiago, Chile ...

... back up. I spent the afternoon doing the expense report then went down to help pack up the conference display. We had dinner in the hotel pizza parlor and played arcade games, Matt beat me at air hockey 7-0 shameful..... then Matt went off to the Omaha Poker Tournament in the casino.

Breakfast is provided to the conference attendee's so we have a buffet breakfast "American style" downstairs, Matt's working at a conference held here they are exhibitors however most of the attendees are in courses all day so Matt is only talking to people in the breaks. while he is there i wander around the hotel, the gardens and check out the activities which are mostly for the aged population or the very young, then there's the ...

French lick is a 200+ year old hotel and Casino, very beautiful, elegant historic and isolated building. It took about 90 minites to get here from the airport. As soon as we arrived we freshened up & checked out the Casino, it's a lot like Burswood but has mainly an older crowd. We ...

... for the public to get in and see it when there's no way he could need the money, pretty much disgusted me. So I went through the house tour, walked through some of the gardens, and got the hell out of there. I would suggest to anyone who feels they must make a pilgrimage to see it - plan to spend the entire day or a weekend there to get your money's worth. ... we paid for our (former) Renualt soft top! We headed to La Jolla for food, and discovered it was a beautiful little bay. We watched the sunset as waves crashed over the rocks, and some drunk wedding guests from a sailing club bash - video coming soon. The town itself was filled with boutique shops, galleries and an abundance of restaurants, including a cheap mexican - perfect. ... The pod is for sitting only... no standing, as I hope you can see by the pics. The cramped quarters were worth it when we made it to the top !!!!! You have an eerie feeling when looking out the windows. You feel like you are leaning.... I mean the building feels like it is leaning .....Whoa !!!@!@!!! We did a little walking on the Missisippi River....but not too much, because it was 93 degrees today!!

... Restaurant right here in the Park and tonight is Prime Rib Night !!! I hope it is cooler in Utah...because it is 88 degrees here right now !!! And tommorrow it is supposed to be 93 degrees !!!! We will be hopping into the pool to cool off !!!!
