... we arrived, we had a good dinner and then went to a boardwalk by the Chesapeake Bay. We walked as the sun set, got ice-cream and walked back to the car by moonlight.

We originally planned this stop with relatives as a stop en route to our next stop in Virginia. However, on the way here, we found out that the VA school canceled meaning our next stop is in New Jersey. So this romp around Washington DC is purely for the fun of it. :)

I'm currently in the air, somewhere between Baltimore and Atlanta.  It's 9:07 P.M. and we were supposed to have landed in ATL at 5:30.  Here's my day so far: Everything started off pretty stress-free, all things considered.  I woke up at 9 and Super Shuttle was schedule to pick me up at 11:00.  I, of course, took too long waking up and getting ready, no thanks to new Origins products, so when Super Shuttle called to say they were two minutes away, I still wasn't finished.  It wasn't ...

... TSA flunkie bark out orders and look underpaid and overworked: "Have you ID's out!!" "Keep moving!!" Wow, we were finally out of America. I forgot what a relief this was on a person. Now I can finally feel relaxed. EVeryone was so friendly and courteous I almost didn't know what to do with myself. But I'm sure I can handle it. I would find that Berlin would be an even bigger test to my tolerance for courtesy and politeness. I think I can manage.

DC at last!!! We are in the condo. AArika made supper and she and Leon came over to see our pictures. It was great seeing them. For therapy, Brad and I went shopping to replace a few things that we lost and was stolen. It did make us (me) feel a little more complete. We will head back to Broadway in the morning.

I'm about to set off!!! I am so excited because I was utterly bored the past few weeks. All my friends have been at school for a few weeks. As for myself, after finishing up the last week at the lab homogenizing human brains, I have had a few days of ... nothing...! I cannot wait to get started with my year abroad. I can't wait to practice my Japanese. Can't wait to go to Australia, too, but taking things as they come! My two bags are packed.
