... rocks ! Note: later on I discovered that if I hang out the truck window and rinse with just a little bit of water it works even better. Anyway, we haven't stopped since JP's nap so we hit up a ****** gas station in Dinwiddie VA for some snacks (the place smelled like Chinese food). Trail mix for him. Check mix for her. We also got the heck off 95 and we are now on's a small 2 laner so it feels like we are playing a video ...

Gaines Mill took place in 1862, after Lincoln lost faith in ...

My original plan for today, was the 2 battlefields I did yesterday, so I decided to make use of the free day by doing something unplanned. That said, I was aware of the park at Pamplin nr Petersburg and thought I'd head their first.

Nice drive of about 75miles through Virginia on I95 and arrived just before 9 when the park opens.

The park sits on 'The Breakthrough' site of the Petersburg Siege and contains a mix of reconstructed items, ...

... br> Once we had finished eating, we had some time to check out the general store section of the restaurant. You never know what treasures you will find in there. I left with a large brown bag filled with different pancake mixes....buttermilk, apple cinnamon and sweet potato. I also purchase a bottle of pecan praline syrup, and some other yummy treats, including chocolate Moon Pies.

We are now back on the bus headed for ...
