    Today we continue to travel North, today's eventual destination is Richmond, not the home of my favourite sausage manufacturer, but Richmond Virginia. Apron arrival we have a tour of the city to get used to our new home for the next two nights. We again leave the hotel at 8am, a few of the party have commented that these early mornings are a bit much, but to be honest it does give you more chance to fill your days with the sights ...

    Happy Mother's Day! We left our Emporia, VA Walmart camping spot about 8 AM. Arrived in Concord about 12:30, found our campsite and spent the remainder of the day setting up camp. Stones were deep on the site, difficult for Bobby to maneuver. Kitty and Bobby used rakes to clear a path from the road to the coach so he could more easily move around.     We got on the road at 5:15am ...the car packed solid with plenty of room in the back seat for Sydney... We left before the sun rise with the temp of -30 oC .     ... rocks ! Note: later on I discovered that if I hang out the truck window and rinse with just a little bit of water it works even better. Anyway, we haven't stopped since JP's nap so we hit up a ****** gas station in Dinwiddie VA for some snacks (the place smelled like Chinese food). Trail mix for him. Check mix for her.
