... Also, I'm beginning to realize its not just PA that smells like a big pile of manure but pretty much every gas station we stop at. Can't wait to get to those mountains!! Lincoln was a ghost town when we got there not much to do or see. The hotel was similarly empty. My extremely exciting day came to end with a viewing of part I of the csi trilogy. I bet you can hardly wait for tomorrow's update...

Today started like many a man's dreams have. Yep, at the John Deere Commons. Drool guys, drool. Here there is a nice mini museum covering the line of John Deere farm equipment. And right next door is the John Deere Store. The store has more John Deere items for sale than any Cracker Barrel store I have ever been in. You name it, they have it. Including a very nice set of hand linens ...
Lincoln, Nebraska, United States mikeandsandyAlright, i'm still at home and getting ready to go to the airport. My nerves are shot and i'm kinda sad that i'm leaving everyone for 2 weeks!! But it's going to be amazing and i just know everyone will be reading this and commenting to keep me happy and entertained... RIGHT????!!!!!
Also, i will miss my cats. ;)
Well, it's been a long time planning and it's almost here. I've got only 46 hours left before i leave for France. I do hope you'll join me on my 2 week excursion to Europe. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you may even be appalled, but in any case you'll have nearly as much fun as me (ok, let's be honest, not even close, but you'll be alright). Talk to you soon!!

Wolfram Alpha kindly calculates that we are 12 weeks from depature to Buenos Aires, Argentina from Chicago. We going to leave even sooner to go to Chicago to visit Nick's brother Joe.
Time is ticking down. I look around the apartment at the things that will go. The things we'll pack and take to Omaha to store.
Will I want this in a year? Is it worth packing, storing and then moving with us to a new place?
What can I take with me ...
We traveled north through Oklahoma and Kansas (via I 35;I 135; US 81) for 12 hours. Finally, after traveling for 12 hours, we found a place to stop!!! It was nice having our RV to just park. It was 48 degrees, Tuesday Morning, in Grand Island, NE!!!
Grand Island, Nebraska, United States kbwebster1... and we sat outside playing games and reading. Went to bed early, trying to get back to our time zone. I forgot that my company apparently got bought this past week. I really am enjoying the trip. By the way I received less than one call a day until Monday. That day the phone was ringing off the hook. The good news, for all of you who were inquiring, is as of today's market close I can pay for the RV trip! Mike
Grand Island, Nebraska, United States bearsrule009... leaflets and free cranberries and info and sent us on our way. We decided to do the Auto-Route rather than the 10k hike as it was too hot to walk anywhere. We did walk up to the Prarie Overlook to take some pictures but 10 minutes out in this heat is almost too much. We drove around the Prarie route, sticking out like a big red sore thumb in our Red Ford Mustang trying to blend into the background so as not to scare the Elk, which ran for its life when it saw us ...
Council Bluffs, Iowa, United States lisartw... gear kept us dry. We also had 25+ cross winds most of the way. As you would suspect we were the only motorcycles on the road until Des Moines and even then fellow riders were scarce. It was great to wake up to sunny and dry weather this morning. We are going to tour Lincoln a bit this morning and leave for western Nebraska early afternoon. Penny
