I should mention: over the weekend I decided it's time for me to take a break from the travels.

After 120 days on the road, consecutive nights of hotel or campground, I would favor familiar surroundings to recharge and plan for the change in seasons. Fortunately, I know this woman who birthed me - she's willing to put me up for a while.

For example: a railroad town would have a water tank and maybe a steam engine servicing facility of some type. The farm machinery building is someplace I want to go back and see again. It has a great collection but the docent told me that nothing in the building has moved in 30 years. Again time and money ...

... of Labor Temple was an interesting building. It was bingo night but we didn't go in. Antique malls were on every corner and the newly renovated Grand theater was cool. Finally, we ended up at Nathan Detroit's pub and enjoyed a cold glass of Buffalo Sweat. Don't worry, it was actually a tasty dark beer. Off to bed, so we can rest up for a twenty mile bicycle ride early tomorrow. More ...
