... VAT tax we paid in all the countries we visited. We went through customs in Minneapolis, starting with a kiosk and then going through a short interview. We waited for our suitcases, both in Minneapolis and Kansas City.

On the last leg of yesterday's trip, from Minneapolis to Kansas City, I was looking through the pictures I took on the trip and thinking how amazing it had all been. We took a leap of faith and ...

This was a shock to the older residents whose ancestors suffered in Germany, made great sacrifice to come to the US and worked so hard to make their community thrive. Smaller than the Horseshoe in Baltimore, but nice. Getting ready to head out of this town. Fueling up, bugs off the windshield, ready to roll east! 1044pm here. Oh, and the trip mileage cleared... Somehow with ...

        ... makes you feel good.

It was very nice of Marv to team up with Gail and Mike Dwyer and Patty and Scott Meister to host a campaign event for me at the Fremont Golf Club. We surprised Marv with a big birthday cake, which he loved. We later learned that he shared the extra pieces with local people who are caregivers for those with Alzheimer's Disease. That made us even more proud of him, always thinking of others!

        Thanks, all!!!

Whenever people start complaining about the problems of the youth of today, I point to groups like the eighth-graders I met today. They are doing great!

It was Career Day at Elkhorn Valley View Middle School near our campaign office. I was invited to come and speak to students about banking and finance, and also politics.

I quizzed them a little about the Constitution, and ...
