Mobile to Fort Walton Beach distance of 139 miles.
We left Mobile weather sunny but still windy. We stopped at the US Alabama battleship park and paid the $2 and then discovered to enter the facility was $12 per person. We decided to view the exhibits outside and then head for Fort Walton.

... buffet in the area. I don't think we ate anything that will make us sick. And the lady on the prime rib station has some wild ninja skill with that carving knife. So one last stroll on the beach, one last fruit ninja card game, and off to bed. Tomorrow we attempt the drive home, hoping to make it in one day. Funny, I am ready to go home. Lazer days
... the playground (which is great for impatient kids). Waiter dude seemed to think he knew us which was odd. Did not help his tip. And ended the night with the ritual of sitting on the beach staring at stars. Sebastian managed to launch a flashlight at johns head, but otherwise these evenings go without incident. Lazy? Day
... too waterlogged, at least for us with no change of clothes. So left to waste time in stupid surf kick knack shops until dinner. Pleasantly surprised by bonefish grill, which produces some great lobster. Overall meal was cheaper than Mitchell's and tasted better.
