Last night in the Southern States as we set off North and West.....
Third stay in Georgia for quick stop over in Columbus at the Sleep Inn. Best motel of our trip so far. Nothing CSI or Bates motel about this one. Lovely room, nice greeting from the guy on the front desk... all you can drink free coffee, so gets K's thumbs up.

I, the gingerbread man recently visited RBD (the Auburn University's campus library). I was on the fourth floor (the quite study hallO, when I felt an urge to dance. We are on our way!
We arrived very early this morning to meet the charter bus and board with the group from St. Philip Lutheran in Raleigh. After a group prayer with parents and friends who were there to see us off, we were off to Hickory to pick up three other groups. We then headed south through South Carolina, Georgia and finally stopped in Auburn, AL, where we are staying the night.. Good day today and an early start again tomorrow.

That night we decided to try out the competition for BBQ, just off the Auburn University campus we went Byron's Smokehouse. It was yummy too! We thought the food was good at both places, but liked the atmosphere at Mike & Ed's better. The cottage fries were amazing! On our way back to our campground, we tried out Toomer's Drug Store (looks like its been there for a long time) but their ice cream was amazing!
