They are very straight and …

We're excited to be getting home tomorrow. We’ve been very fortunate through all our travels and have enjoyed sharing our adventures with our friends and family. We’re glad I wrote the blog because it’s already hard to remember some of the names of places we’ve been!

August 22 would be the last time this year that Duke Energy would be opening the dam on Lake Glenville for a whitewater release. Sandy had to work this weekend, so I headed out solo. I drove up Friday evening and stayed at the Quality Inn in Sylva, as I wanted to get a quick start in the morning and be there before the dam opened at 10 ...

We relaxed for the day at Yogi
campground. In the morning Kaitlin bought and coloured a t-shirt.
$8.50 for an hours entertainment and a souvenir. Good deal. We
almost went on a walk. Ben headed out beforehand to follow the sign
we had seen for Mingo Falls. It said 2 miles which seemed doable but
we have had experience walking with our children many times on this
trip and wanted to now what the ...
