A Hiker By Any Other Name Stinks Just As Much

A travel blog entry by jwatson on Apr 04, 2015

... to come. Then later there was a section called "Jacob's Ladder." You can imagine how much fun it was climbing that from the name. I won't say much about that other than that it went up 600 feet in .6 miles. And then, calamity struck! I got my first blister! I didn't even notice until I got to camp and took off my shoes, but I have one right on my heel. I was very disappointed. And annoyingly, it's right where the lip of the back of my camp shoes rub my heel, so I had to ...

I was comfortable in the shelter on a new inflatable pad I had bought at the hostel gear shop for that purpose. I'm planning on switching to a pad in my hammock rather than the insulation system I have ...

Menu Item: Ham & Hash brown Omelet

Notes: Came with onions and 3 buttermilk pancakes also

Comments: It was good but not as good as I hoped. There wasn't enough substance to the omelet. The pancakes were just average.

Overall Impression: Below average omelet with average ...

Menu Item: Reese’s Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Notes: Chocolate and peanut butter filled pancakes, smothered in peanut butter, and whipped cream

Comments: Hands down the best pancakes I’ve ever eaten. The peanut butter is real Reese’s peanut butter and makes the pancakes. The whipped cream and chocolate sauce drizzle ...
