J wanted to take me on the Segwun, a really old steamship that tours the whole of lake Muskoka. These lakes are totally beautiful and utterly serene. The weather wasn't very cooperative, though, so we decided to head straight home.

Like all good things, it's coming to an end. Easter is around the corner Tomorrow is Good Friday and we're off to Toronto to spend Easter weekend with Nicole’s family. It's goodbye to Pioneer... but happily not quite time to say goodbye to the Macleans.

I'm sleeping upstairs in the staff lodge, and it's a bit like being back at Living Springs, albeit colder... and people's accents are different. Either way it's comfortable and welcoming and familiar.

We arrived at Toronto Airport, flying from London, to be met by my cousin Mick. We drove north for about 3 hours to "Lake of Bays" near Huntsville in the Muskoka district. On the way we stopped in at timmy's (well Tim Hourtons a brewed coffee and donuts chain that is all over Canada, the locals call it timmy's).

We're out of Toronto into trees and fields. Even on a Saturday we saw people working in Toronto - crazy! There are many photogenic moments that I've seen in the blink of an eye, too quick to capture.
