    ... the spot where someone has died on the hwy. There must have been about 25 spots that were marked. Most had 3 or 4 crosses meaning multiple deaths. It was one of the saddest roads I have travelled. We ended up in Billings Montana which is about 230 km from where we started this morning. We registered 560 km today.     As fast as the rocky landscape of Theodore Roosevelt National Park appeared, it disappeared this morning when we left the campground. Back to mostly ranches but now we are seeing a lot of golden fields which we think is what is left after they cut the hay or wheat. It certainly makes for a pretty patchwork view.

    ... events have been canceled. We will take the road through Banff and Lake Louise and hope to find a place to stay in that area, and then drive on through Jasper to Prince George, British Columbia. We need to be in Prince Rupert by the 22nd in time for our ferry boarding on the 23rd. If there is time, we will detour to Hyder, AK for a few days.

    To date, we have driven 3320 miles and nearly 84 hours.
