We overnighted in Billings, Montana. The park had a beautiful entrance and a great office, BUT when we got to the site it was pretty much a gravel driveway. We looked for the Yellowstone River and found it a half mile away with no access. On the way downtown we were stopped by a 200 car coal train so we visited their local food store and had a wonderful dinner in the "Cottage."
... went for a drive up to the old BIllings Boothill. I wandered about and took a few pics before a rapidly approaching storm made me think about heading back to the motel.

Indian Plains Wars where Custer lost to Sitting Bull and the other Indian tribes and was killed. Arrived Billings around 5pm. Checked in to Kelly Inn and later went for a drive into town. What is with this...today I ride round a curve and there is a buffalo is on MY side of the road, I immediately slowed down and move to the left. I slowly passed him. He moved his head towards me and I yelped! 5 Minutes later I came up to a line of cars stopped. I saw why another buffalo was meandering towards us. I was sitting near the center line when he came past. he was about 4 feet away from me! I could hear him breathing and felt the heat ...
