    After two days in Houston with friends, I headed east yesterday. There were no tie-downs at Houston Hobby airport, but the FBO gave me a great deal in the hangar for two nights. See pic, they had the RANS ready to go Saturday morning, but kept it in the hangar to stay cool for loading and pre-flight! Thanks guys!

    The headwinds were not as bad as forecast and at 5,500 feet, the temperature was perfect. ...

    We stopped in Gainesville to grab some lunch at place called The Top. Sadly when we did not realize that it would be closed until 5pm. We decided to just pop in at the Harvest Cafe that was on the corner. The food was super simple but perfect! We all ordered avocado sandwiches and then hit the road once again.     ... well, we probably shouldn't do that next time"- just time spent together- those are the memories. I guess it is weird that I am shortening the meat of the trip but I just feel like camping is repetitive. I think the interesting parts are what you learn each time and the things that stand out on that particular trip - so that is what I summarized below. Besides, the goods times are all shown in the pictures and let's be honest - pictures speak louder than words.
