    15 hour 40 min flight
    Tough - but we made it!! We did try to walk some - but difficult to get up some of the time. The airline was very crowded. The noise canceling headphones were AWESOME! And - the individual screens to watch movies, listen to music, see how far we traveled, . . . was very helpful. I watched 3 movies - Selma (story of Martin Luther King and the event at Selma, AL - forcing whites to allow blacks to vote in the southern states), ...

    So from Santa Rosa, which I told you about, we hit the road and, I have to say, staying on the 40 freeway is a piece of cake, if you don't mind the immense amount of truck traffic on these routes. They are professional drivers, and are courteous, so it's not big deal, but sometimes we wondered if the entire scenery of the US was the ass end of big rigs (I'm exaggerating, for effect).
