Today, we woke up around 7:30 and got our "executive" continental
breakfast at the hotel. It was pretty decent and the kids enjoyed it.
We got on the road around 9 am and headed West on I-40 in Arkansas. We
drove through the whole state and into Oklahoma. That was a long drive
- there's not much along the highway there.
... with sunflowers dancing in the breeze. They were like little people waving to us as we went by...made me smile.
Few random thoughts that I don't want to forget..."Its a side road", Matt knows what that's about...Don't Mess With Texas, really, on road signs along the freeway? Tires on the roof of houses??? Amarillo by Morning...one of my all time favorite songs...but in our case, it was Amarillo by late Supper, doesn't have the same ring to it, sorry ...
... lunch and got out of town. Less than 10 miles down the road we found a brand new beautiful TX welcome center with lots of empty picnic tables and a great view....Murphys Law.

... knew we would possibly have to leave early to make our brunch reservation at the College of the Ozarks so we sadly gave up on the idea of church service this morning. We would definitely listen to a podcast of our home church on our drive home.
