So I have finally arrived at Perlman Camp in Pennsylvania after a long journey and suffering from a bit of jet lag! Journey out felt long but was grand - who knew you could have as many complimentary drinks as you want! I watched The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1, American Sniper and tried to get some sleep ...

First we had to FIND Steamtown! We had the address and we knew it was somewhere in Scranton, PA. All I know about Scranton PA is that someone once wrote a song about 30,000 lbs. of bananas. ... row towards the young eagle and got pretty close until it clumsily flew away. To see them so close and flying away was nothing short of majestic! I can't forget about the deer - if there were lions and tigers and bears, this is the point I would say "oh my!" The things we like about Tunkhannock (besides its funny name): no cookie cutter homes, no streets are bigger than two lane, intersections are called junctions, total mom and pop stuff with a Walmart a respectable distance ...

... downtown store which was ground breaking at that time. It was also once a big time coal and steel area. Today it is known as the cultural center of the Lackawanna River Valley.
Big days of travel results in three very tired travelers. Tomorrow is another big drive that will take us once again into Dixie as we spend tomorrow night in Morgantown, West Virginia - home of the University of West Virginia ...
