Day 13
... that state we didn't see them anymore. We weren't sure if they are manufactured there or what. Will have to do some research.
In less than eight hours driving we will be on Ohio soil. Do we sound excited? We are NOT ready to do another long trip to the west coast real soon.

Day 15
... We felt very out of place. We stopped into the university area to do laundry and couldn't wait to get out of there. The kids didn't seem to feel the urgency that Hugh and I felt, the outskirts of a big city scares the heck out of me. As a teenager, I was able to fly with my dad to Chicago once. I'm sure I see things differently now.

The parents make a last minute decision to stop over for the night in a town called Peoria, Illinois. We stayed in a Holiday Inn Express which had an awesome pool in a room with class walls like a greenhouse. We had so much fun! Flight Status: Canceled???
... DC, but I'll make it.
In the mean time, I'm sitting in the brand new terminal of the Peoria airport enjoying free wifi and a chance to get my blog started.
