... After that was the Needles Highway. A winding twisty highway with sharp curves and switchbacks. The problem with rally week is too many bikers, seriously, hundreds, and some of these tunnels are one lane on the top of the hill. So I wish that we could do this on an off week. ... The squirrels pop up and stand on their hind legs like a prairie dog. They chirp warnings to each other and at any given time during the day you can see a good dozen within a 50' by 50' area. One little cloud burst, temp dropped from 85 to 70 in a quarter mile and everything was wet. They may not be big here but they are mighty. The day ends in Minnesota .
