Pack lighter! We always say that. We have learned to fit everything into a carry-on (with the expansible zipper open, so it's not actually a carry-on anymore). After hearing how cold Scotland was and looking at average temps, we packed too many long-sleeved shirts and heavy socks. But it's been uncharacteristically warm this summer. We were walking around in long sleeves, and everyone else was in shorts and tank tops.

... adjacent to a Walmart in Lampasas (Lamp-a-saw). The fuelling went really well - they fuelled 320 bikes in a few seconds over 13 minutes. The whole fuel stop was planned for 1 hour but we set off again after on 45 minutes due to the extreme heat. Most of the riders were taking heat shelter in Walmart and they all had to run to the bikes which resembled a 1960's 24-hour Le Mans start.

Well, the day has finally come. We still have some packing and last minute things to do, but it's time to stop reading and researching and begin our vacation. I have to tell you, I'm a little intimidated writing this blog. Our "followers" have high hopes for it! But here goes...
