They're baaaackk!

... more for other places. It's not so much the driving on the left, but the roundabouts that caused a lot of missed exits, backtracking and frustration.

We need to plan more rest days. One or two would have helped our stamina and sanity.

It would have been better to stay longer at fewer B&Bs. Those "one-night-stands" meant re-packing every morning. Staying in one or two places is how we've traveled before, but we tried to fit in too much ...

... adjacent to a Walmart in Lampasas (Lamp-a-saw). The fuelling went really well - they fuelled 320 bikes in a few seconds over 13 minutes. The whole fuel stop was planned for 1 hour but we set off again after on 45 minutes due to the extreme heat. Most of the riders were taking heat shelter in Walmart and they all had to run to the bikes which resembled a 1960's 24-hour Le Mans start.

Well, the day has finally come. We still have some packing and last minute things to do, but it's time to stop reading and researching and begin our vacation. I have to tell you, I'm a little intimidated writing this blog. Our "followers" have high hopes for it! But here goes...
