    Stayed 3 nights - leaving 1-26-15 for San Antonio. Nice quiet campground. In the high 60's. Guadalupe river runs along campground. $26 per nite. Previously stayed at Navarro mills CG (oak park site 9). Rainy and cold. Saw white Pelicans on lake. Very nice CG there but hookups were were too far from camper. Couldn't use sewer connection as hose wasn't long enough. Bought longer hoses at Walmart in case that happened ...

    ... us with hot, cinnamon-flavoured apple juice, called wassail, and we chatted at length about, well, everything! She invited us to stay at Laurel Ridge on our return trip to San Antonio. The guest rooms upstairs have antique furniture and look very tempting… The folks of Gonzales are really proud of their town.

    ... more for other places. It's not so much the driving on the left, but the roundabouts that caused a lot of missed exits, backtracking and frustration.

    We need to plan more rest days. One or two would have helped our stamina and sanity.

    It would have been better to stay longer at fewer B&Bs. Those "one-night-stands" meant re-packing every morning. Staying in one or two places is how we've traveled before, but we tried to fit in too much ...
