Day 4 started with phone alarm at 6 am, veggie mite on toast and good brew started the day that was reminiscent of chilly uk. Packed up and ready to go for 7.30am the long drive approx 4 hours awaits. iPod playlists with southern feel, van games, snoring and excitement grace us on the road down to Louisville for baseball game. We stopped for lunch around 12pm at place called Devou in Kentucky, the view can only be describe ...

After our usual setup of our Chinese laundry, we ventured across the road to the Kentucky State Fair, where the only thing missing was my cowboy boots! All the girls had them on, so ...

So read this morning's Weather Channel forecast after my stormiest night of the trip and before a wet morning ride to Louisville. Little sleep last night after spending most of it in 3 waves of thunderstorms. First is a strong wind, then thunder simultaneous with the lightening and then intense rain that tapers over an hour or two. Sometime during the night my tent pole bag blew away never to ...

... urban renaissance with plenty of restaurants,
shopping, and entertainment venues opening downtown and new construction
backfilling the old facades that remain along some streets. New condos are
popping up too on the east side of downtown. I couldn’t quite bring myself to
pay the significant admission charge, though, at the new Muhammad Ali Center
(& museum for self-glorification) of the boxer native son.
