    ... last night we heard a scraping sound. Dad thought the brake pads might be thin so he wanted to check it out. Brakes were fine but got a new air filter and a few minor adjustments.     We were back on the road again heading West. Texas proved to have much better highways sight-wise. Surprisingly, Florida was a pretty boring state to drive through.
