Home again
Arrived home yesterday afternoon after a long day of travel. We left the ship in Amsterdam and 5:30 am (11:30pm Eastern). Because of fog in Paris we were delayed an hour, so instead of two hours to change planes we had about 50 minutes. We had to change terminals and of course go through security again. We got to the gate just as they were boarding. There is only one flight a day from Paris to Pittsburgh so I was REALLY glad ...
The tree's are a glow
... oude station nu een bar, waar o.a. oesters, kreeft en garnalen op de kaart staan, hebben wij zoetwater mossels geproefd. Ze zijn van de zelfde grootte als onze mossels en de smaak komt ook ver overeen, het hangt daarbij natuurlijk ook af van de manier waarop ze zijn bereid. Maar wij vonden ze lekker, geserveerd met warme broodjes. Terug lopend naar de auto hebben we nog een kijkje genomen in het Hard Rock cafe.

Getting to town was a blast! Short [less than a mile] walk to the 'express bussway', short [less than 10mins] wait, then boarded the P1 express bus ... 16 mins to cover 12 miles with (approx.) six stops. Every city should have one :-)
Home on this stop is another carriage house ... this one being a flat above a garage in someone's back garden. Nice place - and well impressed to find ...
Day 1: getting outta the T-dot
... that didn't turn out very well. The moon looks like a headlight in the distance. We pulled into Pittsburgh after 1am, and booked into the ugliest Travelodge -- the worst hotel so far on our trip (and I'm writing this in Sydney 2 months later).
