The Smokie Mountains were nothing short of amazing. I couldn't have asked for better weather. After me and Stealth (Will) took a zero day at Fontana Dam we hit our stride. My knees are finally started feeling better so we were able to pick up our mileage and usually hiked between 15-20 miles a day. I can say with certainty that I gave ...

Mom missed the hotel exit and then when we turned around, the Waze driving device had us make a complete 360 and travel 6 more miles to a completely different exit. Go figure.

Once in the hotel, we were going to bed on a sleeper sofa. When mom sit down, the foot of the bed flipped up in the air almost sending her to the floor. It was a wild ride.

      Night nite, sweet dreams.

I will return and conquer the other routes without incident!

Anywho, we intended to just over night here, but found out that there was a big 'ol house to see, so we did...see it that is. The guy that designed and built the Central Park in New York ...

... Hertz bus to the Gold express counter. One of the perks of being a member with status as Vaughan is, is that if an upgrade is available on your car, you get it without any additional charge. We lucked out in this instance when the lady behind the counter gave us the biggest smile and said "you're going to like this" and we did! Parked outside was a bright blue mustang convertible!

We hit the open road with the top down, this time with ...
