Today was supposed to be a rain day so we planned things that didn't require good weather. As it turned out it was a beautiful day - probably over 19 degrees!! We started out at the Folk Center - many great pieces from local artisans including quilting, pottery, paintings, woodworking, jewellery no more. Then we drove to the Builtmore Estate - home of the Vanderbuilts. We didn't actually see it ... A very ...

      Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. After
warming up on their extensive impeccable practice area, we stand at the first
tee of this par-71 course. As many
golfers know, Jack Nicklaus courses historically can be “extremely demanding”
for the average golfer. We recalled
playing “The Bear” at Grand Traverse Resort in Michigan where after our round
      we felt beaten ...
