Unsurprisingly the day started early (very early) as jet lag kicked in. The boys had two breakfasts, a bit of cereal at 5am and the the full Vegas breakfast buffet (a staggering array of food) as soon as the restaurant opened at 7. ... drive to Flagstaff was a bit white knuckled. It was my first time driving beyond the storage lot, it was dark, heavy traffic through Phoenix, and all uphill to 7000' in elevation over 200 miles. (Aside: I did spend some time reading recommendations on RV driving on the Internet just to add to my education of hauling/driving heavy loads from the past summer - remember that trip from Michigan to Alaska?! ).

And would not go off after trying all we could think of—and then suddenly they were off and we are not sure why but glad! I am beginning to get used to the idea that my van is history, but never will be happy with being forced to get a new vehicle!!
