  • When buying disposables like shampoo, mouth wash, detergent, etc. - buy the smaller bottles, not the family size ones.
  • Bring a couple of light, strong beach bags - they come in handy to carry all sorts of things (like groceries).
  • The kids don't need their own cameras (and chargers, etc.). Their iPhone is enough.
  • Plan more days where our kids can meet and play with other kids:
    • Parks

... I was actually surprised how many bars had DJ's in the "Live Music Capital of the Country." Being that UT Austin is so close, I felt like I was back in college. It must be great as a college student to have 6th Street as your nighttime playground!

I absolutely LOVED downtown Austin. It has great food, nightlife, charm and charisma. OK, maybe the pizza doesn't compare to back home, but I will definitely be coming back to this city.

... I really can't wait until I am old enough to enjoy food like this with Dad.

It was time to head back to Houston for our final night in Texas. We were a little delayed, again due to some shopping. They keep trying to blame delays on me, however, I know the truth!!! My Mum and Lisa are SHOPAHOLICS!!

We enjoyed our final night at my favourite accommodation of the trip - Nat, Ofer and Oz's house. They have toys to play with! It is my 5 star kind of accommodation.
