Well, I ended up on some dirt road for miles traveling east (the opposite direction I intended on driving). Finally I reached Wilson Lake, which was beautiful. I was in a park area that had tons of parking and strangely no cars. I would have gone for a dip but it was getting late and I was becoming more tired. The only thing to look at was the occasional herd of bison and the miles and miles of wind turbines. We finally reached our stopover hotel in Colby, KS. There's not much to say about ...

... in McPherson, KS. And we took pictures of their amazing pies, rather than having a slice. I have a new understanding of "amber waves of grain" as all we have seen for miles and miles are wheat fields! And did I mention Kansas is flat! We arrived safely at the RV park around 6:30. After we quickly set up camp, we had a light supper, took our evening walk, and went to bed. Ready for another long drive ...
