      ... people in the pod, and your knees will be nearly touching. If you're 6 feet or taller you will not be able to sit up straight.

      Not a pleasant place to be for those who are remotely claustrophobic. The arch is higher than I thought and narrower. You can see this structure from anywhere even from around town.But the view from the top is awesome, and the park is beautiful.

      ... was a very quaint historic town full of little boutiques and cafes. The halloween stuff is out and the ice cream was tasty. They also have a shop full of English stuff like HP sauce and Tea! We around the town which was deserted due to the heat.       ... city: it was 96 degrees today and the ice cream shop was closed. Crazy, no? Free parking though, which might be enough to redeem them.

      From there it was off to Defiance, Missouri, which is approximately 25 miles upstream from St. Charles. This is where DB spent the last years of his life. The home where he lived for the last few years and where he died (three weeks before his 86th birthday) ...

      Today was our first day as "tourists" in St. Louis, and if you're a visitor of St. Louis you can image where we went first: The famous Gateway Arch.

      We had an 11:20a appointment for the "Journey to the Top" of the Arch which is located in the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial. But upon arriving I got a bit flustered with the slow moving line to get into the Arch due to the security measures that were as tough as airport security. You had to remove almost everything ...
