South of Siberia
To hear the name of Siberia is freezing but to be there was lovely. The people are nice and friendly, the city is strong and well constructed, sorrounded by the Miass River and circled by woods both inside and outside town.
The cathedral is the most wonderful gothic you can picture on a first rainy, then windy and finally snowy evening.
Don't miss it, it's 2.5 hrs. south of Moscow.

... komisch. Mit viel "Davai, davai" trieb mich der ansonsten zu meiner Überraschung auch sehr gut Englisch sprechende ranghöchste Polizist des Flughafens von einem Schalter zum nächsten, erst den Koffer geben lassen, dann durch die erste Security Schleuse, dann zum Check-in und dann zur Passkontrolle. Das ganze hat keine 10 Minuten gedauert.
