      The bus ride from Florianopolis to Curitiba took just under 3 hours, Barbara and I slept nearly all the way as we have picked up quite severe colds.
      Curitibi by all accounts is a city that is not quite Brazilian. People seemed better dressed English seemed more common. The city also seemed to be much better maintained.

      We woke up at our hotel in Porto Alegre at the awful hour of 3.30am. A bus to the airport and then a 50 minute flight later and by 7am we were out the front of the airport waiting for our coaches in the city of Curitiba.
