The bus ride from Florianopolis to Curitiba took just under 3 hours, Barbara and I slept nearly all the way as we have picked up quite severe colds.
Curitibi by all accounts is a city that is not quite Brazilian. People seemed better dressed English seemed more common. The city also seemed to be much better maintained.

We woke up at our hotel in Porto Alegre at the awful hour of 3.30am. A bus to the airport and then a 50 minute flight later and by 7am we were out the front of the airport waiting for our coaches in the city of Curitiba.
About 90 of us from the tour took this flight. The rest were on later flights.

Apart from that the news today is that Martin's swiss codriver on the Lagonda got his bag stolen from the hotel lobby. Camera, money, passport, the lot. The CCTV system shows two well dressed guys speaking on the their mobiles while casually carrying it out the door... Of course getting a new passport is the main problem and he will have to go to Sao Paulo tomorrow...
