The flight from Auckland was pretty uneventful apart from being 45 minutes late. We were due bad turbulence but nothing really came of it which I was pretty pleased about. Got through immigration and customs absolutely fine and got through to the other side where you were bombarded by people trying to get you to stay at their hostels and sell you …
Not a lot to do when you are staying out at Nomad's, as it is rather away from everything. I felt it was too hot to go into town!
Waiting until the next day to go to the Islands.
I finally arrived in Nadi after a 30 hours trip and went straight to bed :) I shared the room with, surprise surprise, 2 other Germans and we went to Nadi to see the Hindu temple. That is a very nice building with impressive paintings.
The next day I actuallywanted to go to the Robinson Crusoe island ( the islands here are all famous: Castaway …
Today I went with a group of guys to go and see Fiji vs Tonga, Fiji lost which was **** but I still got to see both sides perform what looked like the Haka. The crowd went wild and it was a much better atmosphere than the Auckland blues match. The stadium may have been **** in comparison but the people clearly loved the sport and the team.

The hostel is close to the airport but to get to Nadi or a beach you need to take a bus or taxi. The staff is friendly, the rooms are standard for low budget but there is no kitchen or fridge to use, at least I did not find it and so you need to buy everything there.
