... online. Somehow, I found the Travel Insider web site and the package featured several things that sounded appealing - discounts, add-ons, a great itinerary, and a cruise company that we had used before & enjoyed very much. I also spoke to the "host" - the Travel Insider himself - and found him to be pleasant, well-informed, and enthusiastic about the trip.
An auspicious start, I thought.
We left Portsmouth about 8 am and had a pleasant drive, crossing Chesapeake Bay via the tunnel/bridge to the Eastern shore of Virginia, continuing up the Eastern shore of Maryland and into Delaware to Lewes where we boarded the Cape May Ferry. It makes an 80 minute trip between Delaware and New Jersey. After 90 minutes we disembarked the ferry and tried to leave Cape May. Lori ...
... from each other and they both had long lines. I ordered at Pat's and Kathy ordered at Geno's. Pat's were rude, they did not give you time to look, just order and go, ask no questions, we have no time for that.It reminded me of the soup kitchen episode on the Jerry Sienfeld TV show.
The kicker is that the sandwiches were not that good, there was not any parking, no restrooms and no place to wash your hands.

... br>We headed into Trump Plaza and visited the casino - then headed out onto the boardwalk in the misting rain - into a wild west casino and then back to the boardwalk, bought some salt water taffy and a chocolate/peanut butter pretzel!! Then we had massages and at 12:30 headed back to Philly. Got home around 2:30!!

I came home from the beach with my best friends not wanting to leave, I got in the car everything was fine. I got home finished the book i was reading and started Breaking Dawn By: Stephenie Meyer. I didn't want to put it down!! Then came dinner, my mom told my brother, sister, and I that we were going to order pizza!! Great! We gave my mom a couple places that we could order ...
Ocean City, New Jersey, United States summergirl109The Atlantic City trip was cut short by Rain. When the rain comes we run and hide our heads we might as well be dead... well you get the idea. Anyway we were bummed out because the entry fee was steep and we did not get to ride the boardwalk in the morning as planned. The ride out of Jersey was difficult and expensive. Dual wheels cost a premium every few miles was a toll. We got a Garmin GPS that was flawless except when trying to get on I-95 after crossing into Philly ...

Ride towards Atlantic City was nice but pricey ($36.40 in tolls). Went through some vineyards while heading there. Saw merlot and c******nay grapes. Pretty cool. Mini Vegas is entertaining. Lots of casinos, eateries and shops along the boardwalk. Kids favorite was the Haunted Tales store where a frightening film was ...
... about as exciting as our gambling gets!
Had ice cream on the seafront and made our way back to a nice nicer motel!
Next day left for Philadelphia and stopped off at a warton state forest and took a short hike through the trails (4 miles in flip flops!)
Anyway all for this part

Hey, So i woke up hoping that it would be a nice day for my day off so i could go somewhere fun, and again luckily for me it was a really hot day!! So, i had decided beforehand that i would go to Atlantic City. Atlantic City is just one of those unique and quirky kinda places that you have to experience if you visit the east side of the US. So i'd seen Atlantic City in a few tv shows so i always thought it would be a good place to visit if i could do it. Since i ...
Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States tonestar... minutes. Knowing this and having only won 80 bucks (and thus being down 175 at that moment), I decided to go for broke and headed to the $25 blackjack tables. Five consecutive hands (one of them blackjack against what turned out to be a dealer 21 too) were won and I made an extra 125. So in the end, I left the Borgata pretty much even except that I was able to use some comp dollars for meals - which really helped the budget and tamed my hunger. So it looks ...
