If you don't mind lady bug infestation

    from

The room is very clean. The bed is very bouncy. there was a lady bug (the flying type) problem in the bathroom, which is TINY. The hot tub next to the bed is nice but definately not a GREAT hot tub. We had a room on the other side of the main hotel, which has a pool, but was CLOSED. We had to freeze our butts off to get to the other pool which was at best, a C minus. The TV? What a joke! Very small maybe 13 inches and a pretty bad picture too! For the price though, there is probably better, but this place ain't too bad in the winter months. On the positive side, the crew were very friendly and nice. Not a "terrible place" to stay, but I have stayed (for the same price) in much better places.

    Horrible Experience

    from

We were refused the room we reserved. We didn?t find out they switched us until we opened the door with the key they gave us. They knew all along but didn?t say ANYTHING! When we confronted the manager, Michelle Wright, she absolutely refused any discount off the room she chose for us. She then told us we had 15 minutes to leave if we didn?t want the room. She was absolutely the rudest manager I have ever encountered. This manager does not understand the lifetime value of a customer. It is unfortunate. All attempts to reach the owner, Drew Purta, thus far have been unsuccessful.

Very Nice Clean and Friendly Motel

    from

We stayed at the motel on December 29t and 30th, 2003. We were greeted very nicely. The young man on desk duty was exceptionally friendly and polite. He answered all of questions, and made us feel very welcome.

The room was very nice, neat and clean. (We had one problem, with the heater in the room, which after we told the desk clerk the problem, he was very efficient and had it fixed in 5 minutes. Both the desk clerks that we talked with, the two days we stayed were very helpful. They suggested places to go and eat, and also things that were still open, at that time of the year. Even the cleaning staff on duty when we were there, were friendly and helpful. We recommend this motel, and will stay there again, when in the area. (Two very satisfied customers)

    I love this place

    from

I love this place. I come every year just to get away on the off season. The prices are cheap and the staff is laid back. Good relaxing stay.

Lots of Fun at a good price

    from

For the price I had a wonderful get away for the weekend. Highly recomended.

    Car trouble

    from

The owners of skyline had their people help me when my car failed.

Saving me a tow and expensive bill for repairs. The maintenance guy said that only two cars have been towed out of their parking lot in 5 yrs. He said they take care of their guests. I believe them. Thanks for saving my vacation

    Ridiculously Racist

    from

My family and I have never experienced such a blatant racist interaction in the hospitality industry. The hotel by far has a very poor, unclean, unkept atmosphere and very unprofessional, rude management and staff. I would never allow anyone that I know to be subjected to the Skyline Hotel. If you are going there in connection with Fairfield Time Share or any other time share division, beware of the discrimination and resentment you will experience because of your free stay. Fairfield wants you to spend $40,000 with them but continue to neglect their responsibility to insure that potential buyers are not treated this way.

    My Stay

    from

The staff was wonderful and most helpful. The rooms were a nice size and clean. We enjoyed our stay and would definetly stay there again.

    Rude manager

    from

The manager of this hotel treated us very poorly. We stayed previously and were happy with the rooms, not so happy with the manager, but decided to try again. Had to cancel and the manager left a snide remark on our machine - including profanity. Informed the owner, he did nothing. Would never stay there again.

... winery was so beautiful. We returned back to the camper and we have fresh cheese, fresh apples, fresh baked bread and 2 bottles of wine. Life is good. God has blessed us with beautiful weather also. It has been a wonderful vacation so far! Tomorrow we will leave here and we will decide later where we will be ...

... and Kingston. We finally found a vegetable farm where we could buy some fresh vegetables. I took a picture of our bounty. We drove up to the farm and waited for someone to come out. Les finally read a sign saying that we should just take what we wanted and to pay on the honor system. So we did and we were very happy. ...

We had another great day! Smokey is happy and sleeping most of the time! We drove around through the area and admired all the farms and crops and watched the combines gathering the crops. We have bought some great farm fresh cheese and maple syrup. So good. The day is just beautiful again and we are just relaxing and doing what we enjoy ...

... to head south to the Madison, Wi area. We arrived in Pardeeville and found a beautiful campsite here. Most of the campgrounds close for the winter. Many folks spend the summer in these areas and then go south for the winter. The day is beautiful and so is the drive. We are doing great and having a wonderful ...

Touristy little town, but we had to ride the duck!

... were closed. But not the "duck" places...of course they weren't! By the way, a duck is a WWII amphibious vehicle...we had them in Baltimore and I always heard of people taking "the duck", but I never really had the urge to join in. Who would have thought...on my honeymoon, in 40 degree overcast weather...I would be forced to ride one because my new husband says we just have to! So I did...and it was TOTALLY worth it! We parked in ...
