Planes, trains & automobiles got me to my final destination - Adina Apartment Hotel Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin. I left for the airport in Toronto @ 5 p.m. on Friday night and was checked into my room in Berlin @ 5 p.m. Saturday, local time. The airport express bus; subway; taxi got me here…..just in time for the last weekend of Oktoberfest!!! Who needs beer?? Not me. ...

... that were the target of Ted’s interest. He decided to rent a bike to ride from site to site and Sheree decided to relax by the water and warm up in the sun.

We headed back in the evening, picked up the van and headed to our overnight spot, the luxurious long term parking facility at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport. We got there late after doing some internet stuff, set up the bed for the night and conked out anticipating a 5am rise to get our 8am ...

... ice-creams double-dipped in chocolate and smothered in almonds) to collect our cases, meet Deb and the boys, and grab a taxi to the airport, at which point I said goodbye.

It was sad to go. It's been a great trip, and definitely one I would repeat, with perhaps just a few changes/additions. But really so amazing. And I had the added bonus of an upgrade on the flight home too, bringing the trip to the perfect conclusion!
