          A little work needed

Arrived at around 8.30 pm went to our room and it was like an oven. Turned on the AC which was pre-set to go no colder than 60F. Went out to get a meal but couldn't go back to our room for a few hours as it was so hot in there.
Downside: The hotel and rooms look a little dated and tired. There is no coffee making facilities, the exhaust fan in the bathroom doesn't work, the wall AC unit does not get cold enough, it's noisy even on low speed, the AC filter looks as though it hasn't been cleaned for ages. A fellow traveler has a different AC unit in there room and it was easier to get cooler with the window open than having the AC on.
Plus side: The hotel rooms are spacious, the staff are pleasant and helpful.
We stayed here as part of a Cosmos Tour so this was their hotel of choice. I would still recommend staying at this hotel.

Two other days in the exciting city and so many questions that you get, the City puzzled me a lot, just a few personal thoughts:

We arrived around 12 o'clock at the hotel and could check in right away. Afterwards we went with Polina and her twins for a light lunch at the pizza place around the corner and decided to visit the Central Park. The day started nicely cool but gradually it became as hot as everyone can think of New York City during the summer time.
