Was concerned when we checked in as not sure what to expect from a "Casino" Hotel. Have to say however it has been great. The staff are really supportive and informative, rooms are well furnished and cleaned every day. Our room was on the 4th floor and gave us great views out over Auckland.

Thank you Skycity for the free suite upgrade for our honeymoon. The room was great and we were very well looked after by all the staff members.
We ususaly stay at this hotel when staying in Auckland for a weekend or stopover. Very centrally located smack bang in the middle of the city and walking distance to eateries and entertainment especially at night. And might I add, good quality value for money, which is what all travellers look for in their accommodation.

Had a wonderful stay here, hotel staff were really courteous and went out of their way to help when my suitcase padlock wouldn't open... Out came the bolt cutters, thankfully! Breakfast at Fortune had a great variety and a wonderful view! Slept soundly. Bathroom shower looked a bit shabby but had great pressure.

Skycity is on everyone's list during a visit to Auckland . The city isn't completely overwhelmed with touristy activities so this stands out. You can Bungy jump from it or walk around the outside. We stuck to visiting the two decks. The view was really amazing. Having learnt about volcanoes at the museum the former volcanoes that dot the landscape …

Caught flight up from Christchurch on a bright day so got some great views of North Island coming into land in Auckland. Picked up the hire car at the airport. Noticed the difference from Christchurch straight away as we sat in traffic jams for 30 minutes on our way to the hotel. Sky City Hotel is part …

This was always going to be our free day with no plans. First impressions of NZ is that it is clean and tidy, albeit a lot of development is happening around our sky city hotel, so that woke us up at 7.30. We are high up and can make out the harbour in the distance, but basically overlook a building site next door. We knew it was their winter (just …

We flew up to Auckland from Christchurch on Sunday. Monday was a day to ourselves before we leave on the North Island hiking tour. We did very little. We watched the Super Bowl and relaxed. We went up the Sky Tower (similar to the Space Needle in Seattle) for a view of the whole city. Monday was the kick off for the Chinese New Year celebration and …

Hi, arrived to a damp but warm welcome. Journey went smoothly and met some nice travel companions on the way. It is surprising how well you can communicate with a willingness on both parts. Met a lovely Vietnamese lady on the first flight who lives in Switzerland and with a mixture of my poor French, limited German and her English we passed the …
