... Grotta. Immediately upon our arrival we were greeted by Nicoletta, who is a member of the family owned hotel and she made us feel welcome and comfortable. We greatly appreciated the touring tips and goodies that she provided when we first arrived. Our cozy room was located in a corner, that faced the port of Naxos and the temple of Apollo with a large deck that is sheltered from the wind. It is just a short walk from the hotel ...

... our day swimming in the pools we decided to eat in. We asked for a salad and a club sandwich. Along it comes, full silver tray service as we are asked where we would like to be served. High quality linen tablecloths, linen, silverware and another scented washer to ready us for our meal.
Then it's 6.30 pm wine and platter that we are served for the sunset. Bliss.

Today started with a phone call at 8:30 asking if we wanted our breakfast in our room or on our patio, a reminder that we were being picked up at 10:15 for our wine tour and that we were booked in for exclusive use of the jacuzzi deck at 7:30. The 'light breakfast' was huge, eggs in egg cups, muesli, frozen yoghurt, fruit, bread, jams and butter, toasted ham and cheese sandwich and a huge slab of apple pie, and off course our requested English breakfast tea (even gave ...
