Chinese New Year
Today was a very late start - I stayed in the hostel until 3pm watching the rest of the Mesrine film and talking to Rita on Skype. So I left the hostel to go towards Sim Lim Square area. I was expecting it to be a nice looking square but not at all - it was simply sort of shopping centre and most of the shops were shut for the Chinese New Year.

“ Great guesthouse ”

A definite gem for Singapore. This small but cheap guesthouse offers everything you may need. Dorms vary from 4 bed boxes, to 10 bed monsters. All rooms are air con, which is brilliant for the sweaty evenings. Free breakfast, and is right next to Aljunied MRT station.
