Our Last Full Day In Asia...

A travel blog entry by anelliceabroad

Today has been a mix of good and bad but mostly good.

We slept in a bit today to catch up on some rest but we were still out by 10am. We decided we wanted to see the Marina Bay Gardens as trip adviser raved about it. It was well worth seeing. Spent $28 Singapore dollars which is 14 on a ticket that got us into the two observatories there …

So after three months of some what intensive Muay Thai training, it was now time to get on a different path. Although I enjoyed Phuket, and the guys at Tiger greatly, I was now starting to get itchy feet to start travelling. And my first destination. Singapore.

Had the pleasure of experiencing my first AirAsia flight today. Although it …

An exciting stopover

So after a painful 9hour bus journey from Queenstown to Christchurch and then 12hour wait in the airport, whilst feeling the aftershocks, a 4hour wait in Melbourne and 7hour flight I finally arrived in Singapore for my last stopover before reaching Bangkok.
The metro system there is really simple so I got the train to my stop which only took …

Stopover in Singapore

I arrived in Singapore fairly late in the evening, and made my way to the other terminal to wait for Juliana. She came in on one of the last flights of the night and looked like she was tired but excited to have finally arrived. We grabbed a taxi and headed into town to the hostel I had booked for us. The next day the first thing I wanted to take …

Arriving in Singapore

A definite gem for Singapore. This small but cheap guesthouse offers everything you may need. Dorms vary from 4 bed boxes, to 10 bed monsters. All rooms are air con, which is brilliant for the sweaty evenings. Free breakfast, and is right next to Aljunied MRT station.
