Spent my Christmas break with family in Aspen! We had a lot of fun with our good friends. Skied almost everyday, ate out at wonderful restaurants, shopping and hot tubbing. Went to the wheeler opera house for New Year's Eve and had a wonderful time. Best snow in at least 6 years.. We were so lucky!

There was a wedding going on up there too - was so nice! The weather was perfect. We were at 12,000 feet above sea level.

We gradually made our way down to Aspen - what a charming, expensive ...

... having dinner with them on our rush home. We spent the day exploring Aspen and finding a few good restaurants to try. We tried to drive out to Marroon Bells but it was buses only and we didn't want to leave Duke for that long a time. We did manage brunch at BB's and dinner at Rustique. And Duke got to run around a park in downtown Aspen with a lot of other pampered ...

We onLy had time to hang out in Aspen for a few hours before taking off to (hopefully) find a camping spot...our first attempt at Maroon Bells was a wash so we headed back to Our beloved Independence Pass to "Difficult Campground"....they got it backwards!!! THIS was EASY. We are in a sweet and beautiful little Aspen filled area...NICE! Well...we're 'on the road again'. Joanna wasn't too enthralled with Aspen...it ...
