Incheon, Korea Rep. sannakoo... people paused a moment from their labour on the farmlands and struggled upright to greet the passing strangers. A dirty red dwarf tractor, the size of a scooter pulling a fitting trailer, drove out of the vineyards onto the road in front of us. With his wife on the trailer, the farmer behind the steer, they moved the tractor at a snails pace as it dissapeared with the road into the forest.

We left the vineyards and enjoyed a curvy forest road. For drinks and ...
Sido-ri, Incheon, Korea Rep. oliviers... confederate flag hat, and a big black family was waiting in line behind him...

So off we went. For the next 7 hours, we rode on 4 rollercoasters (Dominator, Volcano, Stunt Double?, and Flight of Fear) and a kiddie swing type of ride. That's right. 7 hours and 5 rides. This is why the Flash Pass at 6 Flags is the greatest invention ever. The rollercoasters themselves were really, really fun and sometimes even ...
Doswell, Virginia, United States sojanet... territory marked by the 38th Parallel. One of the most heavily guarded and fortified areas of the world. But for us, not on Monday as no tours go to the area on Mondays. As we enter the harbor this morning, we could imagine the landing as the sky was dark and threatening; the weather was cold at around 40 plus degrees; and the still morning air looked dreary and foreboding. But as the ship left the locks that help stabilize the dramatic tide levels of about 14 feet; we watched as ...
Incheon, Korea Rep. danharriet... Looking around, there was not much to do part from mucking around the hotel and relaxing after the long flight from Auckland. The Hyatt was a nice hotel with a pool, sauna, and spa area. Mikayla, Alex, and I went for a swim. After that, Alex and I had sauna, spa, and bath in the communal bath area. It was something different ...
Incheon, Incheon, Korea Rep. daz1999... by producing larger crops to be exported. This changed the traditional system of trade, as Gambians were growing crops for cash to buy other products including guns. They would need to purchase their food, instead of growing it themselves. Women became the ones responsible for growing food, such as rice, while men were the bread-winners, giving them more power in the household. (It did not help that the subjugation of women grew because of the spread of Islam.) If the crop ...
Leonardtown, Maryland, United States mafoleyI flew to Baltimore and was met at the airport by a representative for NCL. I went to Piney Point for about 3 1/2 weeks to simulate living aboard a cruise vessel. This was a hard time for me but someplace I will remember for the rest of my life. I met alot of good friends there and I was in class 104. I did water training, fire training, and alot of emergency training. This was the first Xmas away from home.
Piney Point, Maryland, United States itenerant78We would quickly have Mike's car fixed before driving the 8 hours down to DC. Unfortunately the car needed some surgery, which required three days in the car hospital. We didn't let it hold us down and rented a replacement. We jointly made our way passed Albany ...
Washington DC, District of Columbia, United States joostschouten... of some of the trips overspend so far we decided to take better advantage and have some yummy beer!!!! After discovering it was happy hour at The Capitol Brewing Company, that turned into a couple of beers each, spicy tacos and a huge plate of chilli, cheesy Nachos! After which Amy went to bed and i wasted the night away! Day 5 Today we actually got to go to the zoo. We decided as it was our last day we were going to go whatever the weather, it turned out to be a pleasant warm ...
Washington DC, District of Columbia, United States neilandamy... In true grandmother form, she handed me a treat (rice cake) from her purse and some milk to wash it down. So far Korean hospitality seemed to be unmatched. The plane landed at Gimhae Airport in Busan and stopped rather far away from the terminal... so instead of the typical boarding tube, we walked down some steps. I immediately thought of the famous footage of Ric********** getting off a plane and flashing the 'V' for victory signs. I emulated as ...
