Woke early, opened the curtains and saw a beautiful sight; a light flurry of snow falling gently to earth. Sooo pretty. A perfect start to our day. Today we took a trip to the UNESCO heritage areas of Gokayama and shirakawa-go. On the way we saw towering mountains capped with snow, raging rivers and stunning autumn colours.
