    ... which was a former hotel and had a very grand lobby area with crystal chandeliers and a pianist on a grand piano pumping out songs by The Carpenters. There’s no escaping the 1970’s here!

    The main reason for visiting the building was for the views from the top floor and to get a different perspective on the city. It was certainly worth the views. We could finally see the Great Salt Lake in the distance, ...

    ... claim to being 'on the Oregon Trail' in places -- though US 30 has by far the most places.
    US89 is scenic and we don't care how slow or fast. The best part about the driving days has been on roads other than Interstates (motorways). South of the Oregon Trail centre we drove along the western shore of the enormous Bear Lake -- roughly ten times bigger than the one in Waupaca County Wisconsin at over 20 miles long.

    ... landing so don't remember the flight! We had two hours in Seattle to kill so had a little look at the shops and skyped dad! Our flight was delayed half an hour and then I found out the flight man put in me in some better seats! Yay! Oh Seattle's airport is massive! We had to catch two trains and a shuttle just to get to the transfer plane! How insane! Lots of Love, Amanda ...

    This isn't so much of a travel portion as it is the start of leaving. Unless you are a stranger, you are aware that we lived in Salt Lake City and are now leaving. As such, there isn't much of a blog post here, but we will keep you posted as we go to some new places. Especially when we leave the country in a couple days.
