Very brief time in Copenhagen, reunited with Mike (YAY!) and my parents at the airport before traveling to our boat for our cruise.
I was briefly quaranteened after filling out the health check. Apparently side effects from visits to African Nations, and anti-malarials are quite similar to H1N1 early symptoms. Not to worry, it was a short (30 minute) delay before I was onboard and enjoying the experience!
... night of re-sorting our clothes, we were going to Scotland in the morning. By now all our clothes were dirty so we just chose the best of the dirty stuff. Then we fell asleep on the couches at Crouch End.

It is hard to judge Roskilde fairly, it had the impossible task of living up to Glastonbury which it failed massively at. That’s not to say we didn’t have a good time. We had a great time, an exceptionally great time once the ...
... the German Occupation. This was done at a great cost to the Danes. The building is a museum that shows the accomplishments of the Danish Underground Resistance Movement called the Frit Danmark. The museum was being visited this day by high school age children that were very intent and reverent of the cost of the resistance to the occupation of their country. Just past the museum was a short street that leads to the Royal Palace. It was easy to find the ...

Copenhagen, Denmark nomadicnikki... and riding their bikes along beside our ship. There are a lot of parks and green belt areas around the city, and again there are a lot of bicycles. They have these bicycles with a solid area where the spokes would be, that you can just use as you want. You pay 20 Kroners, take a bike, and get your 20 Kroners back when you return it someplace else. They have bike trails everywhere but also bike lanes on the ...

We said our good byes and they asked if I wanted to join them for the museum the next day. I was game as long at they didn't mind but we all had such a good time ...

Copenhagen, Zealand, Denmark mlarsen... be stuck in a cabin with for 13 hours, it´s tuff luck. Typically it is rare people travel these types of distances via train, most if traveling for business or even leisure find it more convenient to travel by plane, leaving cabin compartments to yourself. I found my cabin and situated myself - sprawled across the couchette and went into my slumber. It was about one hour into my train ride when my cabin door opened, usually this is a controller stopping by ...
Copenhagen, Denmark jaywehrsThe train ride to Copenhagen was awesome, mostly because our train actually drove straight onto a ferry. It was so cool! We were even able to get out of the train and wander around on the boat while we made the 45 minute ferry ride. We made it to Kopenhavn in the evening and had minimal trouble finding our hotel. All the hostels were booked so we settled for a budget hotel a little out of the center of town. When I opened the door to our room I came face to face with another ...
Copenhagen, Denmark tmcclurg... Thursday. Luckily our solar panel and a hot day combined to give us enough for Friday night. Friday evening Tor dropped a film off for developing and we found a nice Greek buffet in Fisketorvet. We thought that the idea of a free concert in Tivoli gardens sounded rather appealing so trudged off to the town centre along the river. At Tivoli, we discovered loads of noise from the roller coasters, some rock music and entrance attendants who still wanted to charge the whole ...
