Gamle Stavanger
Acordamos tarde e fomos tomar café no hotel vizinho ao nosso com mais de 100 anos, Victoria Hotel. Café da manhã esplêndido, incluindo o “God morgen”, um suco concentrado de gengibre, limão e laranja, tudo o que precisávamos para repor as energias.

Stavanger surprise

Instead it was open, with lots of pedestrianized areas, full of really nice quality shops, and a small lake with a fountain, a cathedral, lovely harbour / marina areas – complete with massive cruise liner. Loads of colourful flowerbeds everywhere and trees. We headed to the TIC to get a proper map and ask about the Preikestolen Rock hike options. Day 3 - arrive in Stavanger
... learns :) Tina looked fantastic in her new dress. But we lost track of time and were too late for the Commodores drinks party, oops, still don't suppose he missed us. I looked up the hotel manager, John Duffy, who was on the QE2 for years so he probably knew Uncle John, but I expect he is much too important to talk to us lowly riff raff....
So we were late to dinner, again. But it was nice. Apparently they take on 20 tons of beef so ...
