The dark nights are setting in sooner, and as we leave Bodo's harbour at 3pm it is almost dark. Hunting the Northern Lights is getting ever more exciting as we head into the green band in the forecast (see diagram below) that represents the area of aurora activity.

Wednesday, we had time before our overnight train to Trondheim. so we hopped on the bus to Saltstraumen to visit the world's strongest maelstrom (not sure how they measure strength???). I could copy and paste lots of stats about how much water flows through, at what speed, blah, blah, blah...or I could just upload video and pics of this impressive natural phenomenon ...
