Sjours & Affaires Rennes Villa Camilla

I went just one day to Rennes. I thought it was really pretty since all of the houses are made of
rough stones, des maisons bretonnes typiques. Aussi, les maisons sont faites
toutes un peu croches, ca donne un petit style que j'aimais bien.



Et oui effectivement, il fait beau plusieurs fois par jour. It does rain a LOT.
There is mainly what is in every french city, bars, restaurants and shoe shops!

Been chopping some wood for the fire for the last 2 days with ayms cousins and family. 1 of ayms cousins has an old merc he doesnt need, so he has told us we can have it.
Its gonna cost qbout 400 euros to get in insured, mot and on the road, but im hoping rose and mickou will come and split the costs with us.
Petrol to tunisia through spain and africa will cost about 300 euros so its not too bad, hoping to get work in south of france next week to fund it.

... a new town or city is far more compelling than grannies lovely soup. The plan is to move on in the next few days, possibly meeting up with my friends Rose and Mickou (sp) if we can get work along the way.

... we counted only 4 people on our walk) I popped into a creperie to try the local buckwheat crepe. I ordered one with the lot - egg, ham and cheese. Not bad but doesn't match up to anything I have had at Manison du Scooby of late. Last stop in Vitre McWifi to upload our blog!

Awoke early to freshly brewed coffee and cereal in bed - can't have eggs everyday! Kim convinced me to go for a run later today and not this morning - her reason she was hungry, but I think she was just being lazy :) Not 100% sure what lay ahead today as we had only planned as far as Vitre, which is said to revial Dinan in the mediavel town alure.

... up, but this time I have a very nice canter going and the instructor wants me to race ( VERY weird). They believe in racing to the jumps so your horse will jump it nicely and have little energy after (you have to build up the canter after every jump this way). I am going to be in a show sometime in a couple of weeks. We will be jumping 70 cm. So it should be interesting.

... to fight the urge to just run. I kind of won but ran a little at the end when I wrapped my arms around my mom. I started crying because I was so happy to see them (which they thought was silly) and yeah...it was the start of a great time. We rented a car for the week, just by the gare, and it turned out to be extremely handy. It was fun to see Rennes by car, especially since I've spent more time in a bus than anything else. ... important. I'm even surprised at how much my voice changes after speaking in French for more than a few hours. My "American" accent is stronger than I thought it was. It has been really frustrating for me to not be able to do that and I keep telling myself that I need to do more French. I have no idea how much more French I can possibly do. So there you are. ... for more flavored. After the main course, we ate a very simple apple tart with apples from my host uncle's apple trees. It was really tasty especially because the apples are void of any pesticides like those in the US. During and after dinner, we had the television one. I was surprised to learn that watching TV during dinner is quite common in France, but its what I do at home, so I don't mind. So we are in Brittany, the poorest part of France and to tell you the truth, this town is just strange. The people literally walk around like zombies and they say bizarre things.... we have found it better to just downcast your eyes and ignore them...
