      ... down to the end of a board walk and looked out at the water.

      Then we drove to St Malo and it had a medieval city in the city walls and we walked
      around it.

      And then on our way back to the car we stopped by the old prison.

      You had to climb through and over rocks to get there and if the tide was high you had to swim. But we went there at low tide.

      Today we went to old castle walls at St Malo and walked all the way around.

      We passed a prison in the water.

      But when it was low tide you could walk across to it.

      here was a lot of big rocks to be climbed all over.

      We climbed the most biggest and furthest away rock.

      Luckily Zara has a sensible, responsible 11 yr old brother who was looking after her.

      New Years Eve we celebrated by eating out at a cosy restaurant back in Cancale.
      A yummy 3 course meal of fish soup, mussels and mackeral and crepes for dessert.

      Sundays are quiet days in France; many shops are closed. I enjoyed walking around historic downtown Rennes this morning in the silence and the light of a low angled autumn sun.       ... the mountain surrounded by the Abbey. It was like a Castle. In fact, it's probably my favorite castle in Europe and its an Abbey.
      We went to Paris by ourselves. I left it up to Katie what to go into because I have gone into most things already. We went on a hop on hop off tour which took us to every monument you have ever heard of. We went up the Eiffel Tower and into the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa and Venus De Milo ...
