... chef and his friend came and sat with us and told us all about the real Brazil being found in the favelas and that if we visit one this is what we should see as the real Brazil, not the commercialised Rio with all the hotels and shops being built for World Cup and Rio 2016.
As chilled as this place was we wanted to head back to the hustle and bustle of Rio so returned for a few days more, staying in Copacabana. This is where the madness happened.
