It was a quiet night on the harbour. After breakfast we walked on the beach with Logan, he was very wound up by all the local cats, sometimes he's like a dog possessed!
Before setting out for the day, we enjoyed coffee sat out on a bench on the harbour side.

We pottered about in the morning getting ready to leave. Logan had his walk on the beach and then we went to reception to pay. There wasn't any sign of life there or upstairs where the owners live. We know they are busy collecting their olives, Les walked to the restaurant to see if anyone was there. We had another walk and then knocked off as much snow as we could before parking in a nearby archeological site's car park for the ...

... closed, just a few tavernas and cafes were doing business. It's still bitterly cold so we don't wander about for too long. Heading back to the campsite we noticed signs for Karteros Canyon, intrigued we followed the signs, a few miles later after passing through some villages we turned onto a track leading into the canyon we ducked and dived through olive trees and four foot tall reeds, we crossed 3 fords coming to ...

... 7 O'clock, we hung the nearly dry washing around where we could inside and decided a quick standby tea was in order, we keep a jar if pasta sauce for just these occasions, unfortunately I knocked it off the worktop and it smashed onto the floor splattering everywhere with tomato sauce, our 'last resort' tea was put into operation, soup and sandwich. We hope the weather will be better tomorrow so we can go into Heraklion for some ...
