Scott bought a Chang beer shirt, and I got these incredible elephant pants. We were astounded that this whole market goes up each evening and comes down several hours later.

The next morning, we slept in and had a late breakfast. We arranged our laundry to be done at the hotel, and then read for a bit. That afternoon we ventured into the ...

... sushi. We bartered at the night market where I bought another pair of cool trousers. The visit to the Padung people the following morning was such an eye opener. Although touristy in parts we managed to go into one of the long neck Karen's houses and see their real living conditions. We visited the school and bought handmade scarfs from the local people. Next up we drove to the most northern point of Thailand (Mai Sai), within ...

... ago, coming in about seventh. Given that we are all in our twenties and trivia draws an expat crowd easily averaging about thirty years older than us, we felt pretty good with our performance. We also went cosmic bowling with Fergus and Emily, also an activity filled with many non-Thai people but fun nonetheless. The bowling alley was on the top floor of a mall, down many dark graffitied corridors which could easily ...
