So I took an early morning walk to the ATM, grocery, and Gloria Jeans; two-hour boat ride; leisurely lunch and dinner in an outdoor cafe; afternoon walk past shops; and sat in the pension garden. The Mediterranean truly is turquoise in color here, the breezes soft, very ...

Breakfast at our hotel was fabulous... everything Turkish plus French toast and omelets. Leaving Konya we headed to the highway which took us through the Taurus Mountains -- very, very steep, many switchbacks close together, 7000 feet at the top with still some snow. After a couple of hours driving uphill, we stopped at Tinaztepe Caves which are uphill from a trout farm and restaurant.
