... around their home which consisted of three thatched huts with clay walls. One hut was for storage, one for sleeping (when not sleeping outside in the courtyard) and the last for food and cooking.

The last stop was to a weaver who wanted to assure us that children are never asked to do this work. His carpets were quite nice.

Die rund 250 km von Udaipur nach Jodhpur haben wir per Bus zurueckgelegt. Sieben Stunden Fahrt ueber meist abenteuerliche Strassen, nicht asphaltiert und von Kuehen frequentiert.
Jodhpur hebt sich von den anderen Staedten Radjasthans durch die blauen Haeuser, sein Clocktower und seine maechtigen Festung ab. Letztere allein war unser Besuch wert. Heute Abend geht es per Nachtzug zurueck nach Delhi.
