... in Merrickville, as it had been in Smith Falls, for Harvey but we managed in the end and were parked close enough to wander in both places. Historical buildings, quaint shops and a group of canoes going through the locks at Merrickville-- how lovely. There are also Ruins near the locks in Merrickville -- so neat. Once again these locks were manually opened and closed and this lock station had three or four locks.

... a cold start at -2C but there was no way we were getting out of bed early.
